THE COLUMBA PAGEANT !!!

Columba Then & Now Open Air Pageant Thurs 9th June 4pm Guildhall Square, Derry City

To mark its 30th anniversary, the Columba Community of Prayer and Reconciliation is working in conjunction with the Playhouse Theatre and the University of Ulster choir on a street pageant based on the life of their patron St Columba. Depictions of aspects of the life of the saint, from his legendary battle with the Loch Ness monster to his journey in reconciliation and his missionary work in Iona, will be performed by over 200 local school children and young people.  The pageant will conclude with a prayer service of thanksgiving in the Guildhall. The public are invited to come along and enjoy the pageant on the feast day of St Columba. Guildhall Square 9th June 4pm.
